Video spoofing

General about webcam video spoofing

In Vision it is possible to substitute webcam video for verification on a variety of websites.

The key objective of this functionality is to show a pre-loaded video clip to a website as if it were a video from your webcam.

Supported formats

Vision supports 4 video formats that can be downloaded for later use:

  • .mp4
  • .mov
  • .mjpg
  • .y4m

Video clips in other formats, as well as pictures and animated images in GIF format cannot be uploaded and used.

Video spoofing function usage

In order to use this functionality, you need to launch the required profile and select a video fragment by clicking on the camera icon in the upper right corner of the profile window (circled in green in the screenshot below).

Next, in the dialog box that opens, select the desired video file and click Open

After selecting and downloading the required file, you can go to the site that requires verification and authorize the site to access the webcam. You can use webcamtests.com (opens in a new tab) for verification.

Deleting and loading a new fragment

Once a video has been uploaded, the camcorder icon changes - a dot appears inside it, indicating that there is a previously uploaded video. To delete an old video and upload a new one, tap the camera icon twice: once to delete the old video and again to upload a new one.

After restarting the profile, the uploaded video clip is deleted and can be re-uploaded if necessary.
